Women Build

Promoting the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat houses, women-built projects provide a special opportunity for women to learn construction in a supportive environment.  Women Build projects also provide an environment where women can build community amongst each other.  More than 350 Habitat homes have been built across the country by women crews and this number continues to grow.  Beaches Habitat celebrated the completion of a Women Build home recently (Click here to view photos).  According to Susan G., a Women Build volunteer on the project, “Completing this home, was an experience I will forever cherish.  Women Build was an extraordinary synthesis of experiences ranging from: an unforgettable fellowship with women volunteers; a crash course in construction; and an opportunity to witness the transformation of our labor into a home.”  Click the note below if you would like to participate in the next Women Build project.
