Women Build

The mission of the Women Build program at Habitat for Humanity International is to work through affiliates to nurture, recruit and train women to build simple, decent, healthy and affordable houses. The Women Build program empowers women to build Habitat for Humanity homes, enabling them to positively impact the lives of children by making homeownership a present reality for families. Promoting the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat houses, our Women Build program gives women a unique opportunity to work in home construction in a more comfortable, all-female environment.  To date, the Women Build at Beaches Habitat has completed construction on 12 homes!

Get your pink hard hats and hammers ready – Our Women Build is underway!

We invite any interested woman to join in our construction activities.  Just like our other home builds, volunteers on the Women Build will construct a duplex from beginning to end, participating in all aspects of construction.  The biggest difference is the labor force!  Builds will be on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings from 8am to 12pm.  Volunteer registration is available now!  Click on “View Details” under the “Women Build” column to sign up.  Contact Sarah for more information at (904) 241-1222 or sarah@beacheshabitat.org.
