AmeriCorps 2019-2020

Change your life and the lives of others through service. Join AmeriCorps!

AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs dedicated to improving lives and fostering civic engagement. Members commit their time to address critical community needs like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, preparing for disasters, and more.

Serve with us

AmeriCorps members are an integral part of the Beaches Habitat for Humanity team, helping us serve more families and recruit and lead more volunteers. Since its founding, Beaches Habitat has constructed new homes and rehabilitated or repaired existing homes in partnership with more than 400 families in need of safe, affordable housing.

Service Opportunities

Beaches Habitat is currently recruiting 6 members to serve full-time for one service year, beginning in the fall of 2019. Positions available are:

Program Benefits

In addition to the AmeriCorps living allowance and Eli Segal education award, Beaches Habitat also provides rent-free housing in a furnished two-bedroom apartment shared with another member. Members may also be eligible for loan forbearance, health plan benefits, childcare assistance, and more.

Member Commitment

AmeriCorps members will serve for approximately 10.5 months, completing a minimum of 1,700 hours. During that time, members will engage in the mission and vision of Habitat for Humanity, dedicating themselves to the goals and objects of their position and attending local and national trainings and events.
