Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Beaches Habitat for Humanity! Your health and safety are important to us and we want to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable build experience.

Our volunteer builds have resumed with limitations.

If you're interested in volunteering on your own (group opportunities are not available at this time), please:

1. read the latest update on our policies (linked below);

2. create an account in the volunteer calendar;

3. contact Sarah Jared at (904) 595-5793 or for your next steps.

Due to delays with material delivery, group volunteer opportunities are not currently available.

We expect to resume group opportunities in mid-June or early July.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

What you need to know about

Volunteering with a Group

The work you will be doing is real construction work! It can sometimes be tough and there are always risks associated with construction. To help maintain a safe site, there are a few things you need to know before signing up for a group volunteer opportunity:

  • Equipment and on-site training for all tasks will be provided.  Volunteers of all experience levels, including those with no experience, are welcome.
  • All volunteers will be asked to provide complete our volunteer form, which includes contact information, demographic questions and a release and waiver of liability, in order to volunteer. Once your group reservation has been confirmed, the form will be emailed to the group contact person.
  • The minimum age to volunteer is 16. Youth volunteers will be asked to wear a colored wrist-band on the site and will need a release form completed by their parent or legal guardian in order to volunteer on the construction site.
  • Youth Groups may participate in construction with adult supervision. When calculating your group size, please include 1 adult volunteer (25 or older) for every 4 youth volunteers.
  • Please be sure to let us know if you will have youth volunteers in your group so we can plan age-appropriate activities.
