What you need to know about

Volunteering with a Group

The work you will be doing is real construction work! It can sometimes be tough and there are always risks associated with construction. To help maintain a safe site, there are a few things you need to know before signing up for a group volunteer opportunity:

  • Equipment and on-site training for all tasks will be provided.  Volunteers of all experience levels, including those with no experience, are welcome.
  • All volunteers will be asked to complete our volunteer form and sign a release and waiver of liability at least two days before their volunteer opportunity. Once your group reservation has been confirmed, the form will be emailed to the group contact person.
  • The minimum age to volunteer is 16. Youth volunteers will be asked to wear a colored wristband on the site and will need a release form completed by their parent or legal guardian in order to volunteer on the construction site.
  • Please be sure to let us know if you will have 16 or 17 year old volunteers in your group so we can plan age-appropriate activities.
  • Youth Groups (age 16+) may participate in construction with adult supervision. When calculating your group size, please include 1 adult volunteer (25 or older) for every 4 youth volunteers.

Ready to begin?

To get the process started, you may complete the form below or contact Sarah Jared at (904) 595-5793.  You can also send an email to volunteer@beacheshabitat.org.  Upon scheduling a volunteer group build, you will receive more information to help you prepare for your day on site.

When completing the form below, please include as much information as possible in the "Additional Comments" section, including preferred date(s) or day(s) of the week.

The online calendar is primarily for individual volunteers and does not necessarily show our full capacity for volunteers. Please don't let a limited number of spots available on the calendar prevent you from submitting a group request!
