Volunteer after school

Volunteers will work one-on-one with students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade, emphasizing support and growth in Reading and Math. In addition to providing academic support, tutors are able to build positive relationships with the children. Tutoring takes place at both the Jordan and Baker Community Centers in Atlantic Beach.

K to 5 Tutoring Schedule:

Jordan Community Center -
Monday - Wednesday, 3:30 - 5:30pm

Baker Community Center -
Monday - Wednesday, 3:45 - 5:30pm

The Education program welcomes volunteers from organizations interested in sharing a specific topic, activity, or area of specialty to speak with or present to a group of students.

Volunteer as a Mentor

The Prep Club/TSIC is a college preparatory and rewards program that is a partnership between Beaches Habitat and Take Stock in Children (TSIC). This exciting new partnership for 6th through 9th graders matches each student with a mentor.

A mentor is a caring, compassionate adult who chooses to devote their time to a young person, offering them support, guidance, and encouragement. If you can donate one hour per week, you can change a life by helping a child build a solid foundation of values, establish goals, improve their academic and life skills, while developing their self-esteem and confidence.
