What is Women Build?

Women Build brings women together to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission. At Beaches Habitat, our Women Build is a full home project - from pouring the slab to the finishing touches. It’s a hands-on way to learn new skills, work alongside others, and help a local family buy their own home.

Who Can Participate?

Women Build is open to everyone age 16 and older who wants to make a difference in our community. While our goal is for at least 80% of participants to be women, all people are welcome to join in the fun.

There’s no cost to volunteer - your time and energy are what matter most. But if you’d like to take your support even further, you can become a sponsor or donor. Sponsors not only help cover the cost of construction but also receive priority scheduling for Women Build events.

Why Women Build?

17%

of families with children in Duval County are led by single mothers.

72%

of renters earning less than 80% of the area median income (AMI) in the Beaches spent more than 30% of their income on housing.

84¢

for every $1 - that's how much women working full-time in Duval County earn compared to men.

Women Build is all about women supporting women - working together to create safe, stable homes where children can grow and thrive.

Matching Challenge

A generous donor has given $100,000 and challenged us to match it. Your gift can double the impact and help reach out goal!
