Volunteer Spotlight: Hope Johnson
This fall, we welcomed Hope as an intern, and she quickly became a valuable part of our team. She is dedicated, creative, and thoughtful in everything she does.
Hope moved to Jacksonville in 2022 to attend the University of North Florida. She is now a senior studying Multimedia Journalism. At first, moving to a new city felt overwhelming, but she soon found her place through community, connection, and service.
Hope joined Beaches Habitat because she loves work that combines creativity with purpose. From day one, she helped prepare for Beach Bash, one of our biggest fundraising events. She secured over $11,000 in silent auction donations, reaching out to businesses, building new relationships, and creating materials to share their stories. Her efforts made a real difference for the event.
What sets Hope apart is her heart. She was inspired by Beaches Habitat’s mission and how we put love into action. She brought thoughtfulness, initiative, and genuine care to everything she did.
Though she is early in her career, Hope has already made a lasting impact. We are grateful for her energy and dedication and excited to see where her passion for storytelling and service takes her next.
