As America celebrates its 250th Anniversary, Beaches Habitat for Humanity is celebrating a freedom of our own: the freedom that comes with a safe, affordable place to call home.

To us, a home is never just four walls and a roof. It’s stability. It’s independence. It’s a foundation a family can build on for generations.

Freedom Starts with Stability

A safe, affordable home gives Beaches Habitat homeowners’ real peace of mind. Once they don’t have to worry about rising rent or unstable housing anymore, they’re free to focus on what matters most: raising their kids, building savings, and putting down roots in the community they call home.

Every Beaches Habitat homeowner earns that stability. Each homeowner completes financial education, puts in hundreds of hours of sweat equity alongside our volunteers, and purchases their home through an affordable mortgage. It’s a partnership built on dignity and hard work, and it produces more than a homeowner. It builds confidence, equity, and a future a family can actually plan around.

Building Community at Coastal Haven

Here in Atlantic Beach, we’re bringing that vision to life through Coastal Haven, our newest affordable townhome community. Each home there represents a community member investing in their future, and a community coming together to make that possible.

Behind every Coastal Haven home are volunteers, donors, corporate partners, faith organizations, and neighbors from across the Beaches who believe everyone deserves a decent place to live. Together, they’re building homes, community, and hope, one home at a time.

As we mark 250 years of American freedom, it’s worth remembering that freedom isn’t only something we read about in history books. It’s something Beaches families experience every day when they achieve the stability of affordable homeownership. For our homeowners, that freedom means:
