Interfaith Build 2019-2020

Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Beaches Habitat for Humanity! Your health and safety are important to us and we want to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable build experience.

Our volunteer builds will resume on Friday, June 19th in a limited capacity. For the time being, opportunities will be available only for our volunteer Crew Leaders and "regulars."

We recognize this decision may be disappointing for some volunteers and groups who are looking forward to helping. However, as our team adjusts to a new way of building in light of the pandemic, we feel that limiting volunteer opportunities in the short term is the best choice for the long term health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and homeowners.

Habitat for Humanity puts God’s love into action by building with a community, not just for it. Our local community is diverse and Beaches Habitat wants every faith community to have the opportunity to put your faith into action. Partner with Beaches Habitat to build new homes for families in need of affordable housing!

How does it work?

  • Faith communities commit to becoming a partner in the Interfaith Build
  • Congregation members generously volunteer their time, talent and treasure to assist with construction and non-construction activities
  • The end result will be an affordable home for two local families.
